Valle Romano carries out the aeration of its greens as part of its maintenance plan.

Valle Romano Golf & Resort has carried out the aeration of its greens, an operation included in the course’s regular maintenance programme and aimed at preserving the quality of the playing surfaces in the medium and long term.

Green aeration is a routine task that forms part of the technical maintenance of a golf course. It consists of making small perforations on the surface to promote soil aeration, improve oxygen exchange, and facilitate more efficient water and nutrient absorption by the grass roots.
Although during the first few days after the operation the greens may look different from usual, this process is essential for maintaining their health and promoting a uniform recovery of the surface.
Thanks to this type of work, soil compaction is reduced and a more favourable environment for grass development is created, helping the greens maintain quality playing conditions throughout the season.
These operations are part of the maintenance schedule that Valle Romano carries out in a planned manner in order to keep the course in the best possible condition and guarantee a playing experience in line with the course’s standard.
The club appreciates the understanding of all players during the execution of these works, whose aim is to continue offering a well-maintained course ready to enjoy golf in the best conditions..
