Hole by hole

Hole 1

Álvaro Quirós

A hole you will not forget due to its beauty and design. Play a strong tee shot and pay attention to your second shot and the approach to the green, which is very small.

Hole 2

Raquel Carriedo

A short par 3 where you must avoid drifting left. The large green leaves a comfortable two-putt.

Hole 3

Sebastián de Miguel

A panoramic tee shot where accuracy matters more than power. A lake on the left punishes a miss that way.

Hole 4

Pepín Rivero

Beautiful par 3 among trees and bunkers. Play the shot with conviction and favor the left side of the green.

Hole 5

Miguel Ángel Martín

A par 4 that calls for a firm, confident strike. Avoid the right side of the fairway and don’t go long of the green.

Hole 6

Marta Figueras-Dotti

Part of the fairway on the right is hidden from the tee, so pick your line carefully. The approach demands accuracy; avoid the right side of the green.

Hole 7

Manolo Piñero

A hole to immortalize its design and enjoy it. Tee off favoring the left side and be careful on your second shot. A crosswise green flanked by bunkers in its defense.

Hole 8

José María Cañizares

Trees protect the hole, so the middle of the fairway is not the ideal line. A well-placed tee shot leaves a comfortable approach with a great view.

Hole 9

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño

A demanding hole that needs a strong drive and a careful second to avoid the greenside bunkers. The green is large.

Hole 10

Marcelino Morcillo

We start with a dog-leg left hole. Fairway sloping to the left and protected by bunkers. A shot over the bunkers is recommended. The hole ends in a smooth fairway and a wide green to make the third shot easier.

Hole 11

José Mari Olazábal

Visually easy, but a miss to the left is the one to avoid. Two bunkers and a gentle slope defend the green.

Hole 12

Ramón Sota

A demanding par 4 where the tee shot is key. The second must be accurate to reach a wide green without major difficulty..

Hole 13

Ángel de Miguel

A recovery hole where the second shot must be precise, since the green is almost 1,000 m². It will be a pleasure to play with the feeling of being at the sea.

Hole 14

Miguel Ángel Jiménez

Keep your tee shot out of the water. The approach flies over a lake to a green that leaves little room for error..

Hole 15

Diego Borrego

A slight dog-leg left where a good tee shot is essential. It isn’t long, but the small green is defended by two bunkers..

Hole 16

Ángel Gallardo

A par 3 that demands a perfect shot. It is advisable to favor the left side of the green. The green covers a wide area to adjust the shot.

Hole 17

Valentín Barrios

A long hole that rewards planning. Tee off safely to the fairway and advance with a well-measured second shot. A precise third shot will leave you a short approach to a green that rewards patience and good course management.

Hole 18

Severiano Ballesteros

A long, demanding par 3. Play to the left side of the green and keep your full concentration.

Cabell B Robinson

Valle Romano Golf Course was designed by Cabell B Robinson, the well-renowned international designer of suberb golf courses around the world. He is the designer of many top-notch courses on the Costa del Sol, following in the footsteps of his friend and mentor Robert Trent Jones he said:

“One of the lessons I learned from Jones is that the routing, the course layout, is the most important thing, because it’s like what a tailor does – once the material is cut you can’t change much.”

Cabell B Robinsonn designed courses can be found throughout Europe and North Africa and in Valle Romano has created some truly unique holes. An additional advantage in Valle Romano is that the Course is merely a short step from your accommodation.
